Pelvic ultrasound is a test that uses sound waves to photograph organs in the pelvis. Your doctor may order this test to diagnose the condition or check your baby's health while still in the womb.
In women, use pelvic ultrasound to observe:

Oviduct
Ovarian
Uterus
Vaginal
Bladder
In men, it is used to view:
Bladder
Prostate
Seminal vesiculitis (glands that add fluid to semen)
